Functional training is unable to condition and properly prepare the soccer player for a competition when used in isolation. The method has an important function within a training program aimed at global evolution of the athlete (SARGENTIM, 2013).

The players need a combination of stimuli that provide a balance between the physical capabilities necessary for high performance. This objective is achieved with specific loads and individualized training. The balance between motor skills provides a good condition for the athlete to have a good physical performance, technical, tactical, and can stand individually or collectively (GATZ, 2009).

Functional training has a strong relationship with muscle balance / articulate athlete, your application improves the muscle chains and brings benefits in the use of training loads, thus allowing for better performance and less risk of injury.
